Mirror, mirror

Mirror Mirror is a reflection of the girl I once was—and the girl I am still becoming. She comes from darkness, carrying the weight of everything she survived, but she refuses to remain there. Even when the past follows her, she keeps moving forward, slowly turning toward the light. The mirror represents the parts of ourselves we are forced to face: the pain, the fear, the shame, and the pieces we thought were too broken to save. But when she looks back at herself, she doesn’t see someone defined by where she came from. She sees someone who made it out. This piece is about transformation—not becoming someone new, but finding your way back to yourself. About choosing the light, again and again, even when you’ve known the darkness intimately.
